Job Description:
Functional and Operational Leadership of a Global Business Analytics (BA) team at Hyderabad providing analytical insights support to the marketing / MSO teams worldwide; management of delivery, quality control process, customer satisfaction, issue resolution, work flow process, people management and partnership with local support functions.
Major Accountabilities
• Leads the Worldwide Business Analytics team (50-100 associates in Hyderabad) to manage delivery of Business Analytics for Global HQ Marketing / Country Pharma Organizations (North America, Region Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific markets) / Business Franchises; ensuring adherence to time-lines and quality objectives.
• Manages an efficient and high-quality Business Analytics team that promotes synergy and best practice sharing among resources, drives collaboration with Country Or-ganizations in managing high standards of communication and delivering best in class services
• Establish, vigorously monitor and report KPIs & take proactive action to continuously strive for improvements. Manage the Service Level Agreements with various customer stakeholder groups.
• Ensure exemplary communication with all stakeholders including internal GCO asso-ciates, and global customers through regular local and global updates with focus on accomplishments, KPIs, best practices, staffing changes, key events, etc.
• Identify and resolves operational issues, clearly articulate potential recommenda-tions/solutions to local or global managers/partners; manage number of escalations to global office.
• Be proactive in planning; anticipating change and acting in accordance; drive metic-ulous implementation of team goals and metrics.
• Groom and develop talent, implements succession planning and mentor associates for higher responsibilities.
• Conduct performance appraisal of team members and manage the training needs of the group.
• Provide input into the budget process (for local India viewpoint) and ensure ongoing detailed cost reporting in line with the global and local policies / requirements
• Builds transparent and collegiate culture establishing Novartis Values & Behaviours in Hyderabad BSC along with team and peers
• Drives innovation and entrepreneurial mindset to ensure team members are fully stimulated, challenged and engaged on delivering high quality work to achieve Novartis Pharma strategy of ‘Winning in Primary and Secondary care’
• Provides guidance and sets standards of functional excellence in methodologies, processes and SOPs to enable enhancement of reports in following areas:
o Support to the brand plans and integrated product strategy documents
o Market Reports: Therapeutic area analysis, company standing and brand performance reports
o Industry, disease and customer research & analysis
o Competitor analysis (secondary sources)
o Promotional data analysis
o Territory Resources Reallocation Analysis
o Sales Reports:
- Monthly/Quarterly product performance reports for Country Organi-zations based on existing IMS data feeds
- Weekly reports for launch brands
-Regional sales data analysis at sector, brick or mini brick level
• Takes initiative to drive standardization of reports across markets within Business Analytics team and work with CPOs towards its implementation.
• Partners with Regional Engagement Managers/Account Directors (across regions) to pilot additional projects and actively support in on-boarding of new countries and reports to GCO, Hyderabad BA team. Work towards build-up of functional capabilities to expedite transition of value added projects from Global Brand Teams/Country Organizations to GCO Hyderabad
• Works with other teams (Forecasting, Sales Force Effectiveness, Marketing Capabilities etc) at GCO Hyderabad to leverage the cross-functional synergies

Candidate Profile:
Education (minimum/desirable)
• MBA with Graduate / Post Graduate in Engineering/Pharmacy/ Science/Statistics or related fields (including MBBS/MDs/MS/MPH)
Experience
• Overall 10-15+ years of experience, with 5-10+ years in analytics with a leading Pharma principal / solution provider and at least 3-4 years experience in leading a team
• Past work reflects a track record of operational excellence in analytics space
• Understanding complexity of integrated working in a matrix and geographically dispersed environment
• Familiarity with process set-up, quality KPIs and operational issues / management
