Anna University was established on 4th September 1978 as a unitary type of University. It offers higher education in Engineering, Technology and allied Sciences relevant to the current and projected needs of the society.Besides promoting research and disseminating knowledge gained therefrom, it fosters cooperation between the academic and industrial communities.The University was formed by bringing together and integrating two well-known technical institutions in the city of Madras.

Applications are invited on plain paper for studentship - 2 Nos. (Temporarily for six months) in the Centre for Biotechnology, Anna university, Chennai-25, under the project entitled “Biotechnology Information System –BTIS-Studentship” sponsored by Department of Biotechnology.
Eligibility:
Position I: M.E./M.Tech/M.S. by research/M.Sc in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Bio- Pharmaceutical Technology/Biochemistry/Computer Science with minimum two years of Research Experience in Computational Biology/ Bioinformatics.
Position II: B.E/B.Tech in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Technology Information Technology/Computer Science with good academic record.
Emoluments:
Position I: Rs. 12,000/p.m. - consolidated and
Position II: Rs. 8,000/p.m. - consolidated
