Post: Project Manager

The project manager role is responsible for the overall coordination and execution of projects.
Job Responsibilities:
· Partner with global customers and AMRI teams to ensure a coordinated approach from project initiation through to successful close out.
· Drive on-time and on-budget delivery of objectives and deliverables on projects spanning  medicinal chemistry and drug development spectra from process development programs to production of toxicology and clinical batches of intermediates and API's right through to registration and validation batches
· Ensure that communication with clients (both verbal and written) is clear and well structured
· Lead key project meetings and regularly scheduled project review meetings scheduled at the convenience of global customers.
· Facilitate the efficient flow of resources between departments to maintain a flexible and responsive project team focused on a common set of objectives.
· Manage multiple projects in parallel.  Prioritize customer issues and communicate them clearly and efficiently within the organization.
· Demonstrate calm leadership and provide clear drive, focus and enthusiasm.
· Proactively identify potential issues (both scientific and financial), maintain contingency plans and rapidly resolve problems as they arise.
· Develop and maintain a solid understanding of regulatory topics pertinent to cGMP manufacture from Phase I through to commercial launch.
· Maintain formal timelines to ensure deadlines are met or exceeded.
· Apply scientific knowledge to augment scientific team efforts as necessary.
· Interface with the Business Development department in order to manage change of scope activities.
· Liaise with the Finance department regarding project status and billing.

Candidate Profile:
· Must be a Post graduate in chemistry or a graduate in engg.  A  Project management qualification would be desirable.
· Must have worked as a project manager for atleast last 4-5 years in a CRO organization.
· A high level of techno - commercial skills is a must.
· Must be able to articulate and drive Project Management Processes right from- RFP stage to post sales project management.
 Must be highly computer savvy - Good in ERP, in project module
