Post: Senior Research Fellow
The walk-in-interview for the position of Senior Research Fellow under NICRA project will be conducted at this Institute on the date/time and venue and other details shown against the position on contractual basis. The eligible candidates are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for Walk-in- Interview for the position of SRF at NDRI, Bengaluru, as per schedule indicated as follows:
Name of Project: Research Project “National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture” (NICRA)
Qualification:
Essential: Masters Degree in the following subjects with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average (LPM/ Animal Physiology/ Animal Nutrition/ Animal Genetics & Breeding / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Science/ Environment Science and related disciplines).
Desirable: Knowledge of computer, M.S. Office, Statistical analysis Softwares like SAS, etc.
Emoluments:
Category 1: Post Graduate in Veterinary Science Rs. 18000/- per month + HRA as applicable for 1st and 2nd year, Rs. 20000/- per month + HRA as applicable for 3rd year.
Category 2: Post Graduate in subjects other than Veterinary Science Rs. 16000/- per month + HRA as applicable for 1st and 2nd year, Rs. 18000/- per month + HRA as applicable for 3rd year
Duration of Project: Till 31st March 2014 (Project may continue beyond 31st March 2014)
Sphere of work:
Survey on performance and management practices, morphological measurements, recording of physiological parameters, etc., including collection of blood samples from breeding tract of Deoni breed (Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka) as well as other organized Deoni farms, research works related to production and reproduction functions, nutritional interventions, shelter management and stress alleviation, estimation of haematological, biochemical, hormonal parameters, etc., analysis of data and any other research work assigned by the Principal Investigator.

The above position is purely temporary and will be filled in on contractual basis. The selected candidate shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the fellowship is coterminus with the Project/Scheme. Interested candidates may attend Walk-in-Interview on the date as indicated against the project/scheme along with original certificates and typed bio-data with one set of attested copies of each their certificates with passport size photograph. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. All eligible candidates are requested to be present at least one hour before scheduled time on the date of interview for necessary formalities.
