With a coastline of about 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and Little Rann of Kutch, and the rock salt mines in Mandi, India have possibilities of attaining a high position in salt production among the salt producing countries of the world. As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine. Besides, salt is used in food processing industries, such as fish curing, meat packing, dairy products and fruit and vegetable canning.
Post: Project Assistant Level 1 GEN
Salary:- Rs. 8,000/- per month (Fixed)
Qualification:- Bachelor of Pharmacy with 55%
Desirable: Experience in the classical / instrumental methods of analysis.
General Conditions:-
Age:
Should not be more than 25 years as on interview date and the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in the case of applicants belonging to SC/ST and PH categories. The women applicants who are widowed, divorced or judicially separated from their husbands and are not re-married shall also be given age relaxation by 5 years. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in the case of applicants belonging to OBC category.
Job Requirements:
The selected candidate for the above position is supposed to work on bioavailability of double fortified test. He /She will also assist the scientists in their regular R&D experiments.
Duration: One year and may be extended further for a period of one year based on the performance of the candidate.
The post is under the project entitled "Fortification of salt with essential nutrients".
