The Gujarat Technological University was established vide Gujarat Act No. 20 of 2007. The main objective of the University is to develop the knowledge of science, engineering, technology, management and environment for the advancement of quality of life of the mankind in general. The prime objects of the University shall be to create centres and institutes of excellence is basic and applied science, engineering and technology.

Gujarat Technological University Ahmedabad, along with imparting technical education across the state of Gujarat, is in the process of establishing the following 12 Post Graduate Research Centres:
1. Centre for Environmental and Green Technologies
2. Centre for Mobile Computing and Wireless Technologies
3. Centre for Cyber Security
4. Centre for Environment and Energy Efficiency Tools
5. Centre for Infrastructure, transportation and water management
6. Centre for Technology Education, Public policy and Universities of the 21st Century
7. Centre/School for Global Business Studies
8. Centre for Business Ethics and CSR
9. Centre for Financial Services
10. Centre for Marketing Excellence
11. Centre for Governance Systems
12. Centre for Pharmaceutical Studies and Drug Delivery Technologies
For Pharmacy Faculty
PROFESSOR :
Minimum Qualification :
1. B.Pharm and M.Pharm in relevant branch of Pharmacy with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree.
2. PhD or equivalent, in appropriate discipline.
3. CCC+ or equivalent
Experience :
Minimum of 10 years experience in teaching / Research / Industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at the level of Professor. (Period for obtaining of Ph.D. will not counted)
Or
Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and/ or Research and/or Industry. In case of research experience, good academic record and books / research paper publications / IPR / patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection committee.
The experience in industry as managerial level is considered equivalent to Associate Professor level with active participation record in devising / designing, developing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books / research paper publications / IPR / patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection committee.
Desirable: Success in obtaining research grants; Post Ph.D. publications in high impact journals and tier 1 conferences; successful guidance of Ph.D. students; patents.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR :
Minimum Qualification :
1. B.Pharm and M.Pharm in relevant branch of Pharmacy with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree
2. Ph.D. or equivalent, in appropriate discipline.
3. CCC+ or equivalent
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching / research / industry of which 2 years post PhD experience is desirable. (Period for obtaining of Ph.D. will not counted) Post PhD publications and guiding PhD student is highly desirable.
Desirable: Success in obtaining research grants; Post Ph.D. publications in high impact journals and tier 1 conferences; successful guidance of Ph.D. students; patents.
