Job Description:
Position Objective:
To liaise and oversee the third party Logistics (3PL) operations for IVGN in India. Ensure shipments to end customers meet quality specifications, are accurate and arrive in a timely manner. Ensure 3PL & IVGN ERP systems are aligned. Reporting operational status and performance to the company and set regional strategy for operations. Oversees, plans and directs the activities for the India Logistics team including, coordination of inbound shipments & delivery of product to end customers. Liaise with IVGN India Customer Service & Demand Planning teams & USA Customer service teams to ensure smooth flow of product to end customers.
Essential Functions:

Provide leadership and strategic direction to distribution function & teams, whose functions include overseeing 3PL receiving, shipping, safety, inventory accuracy and quality management. Oversee and manage assigned staff, including performance management, training and professional development.

Take the project leadership role in the set up & implementation of 3PL suppliers & theIndiadistribution operation

Drives the proper order process strategies in support of customer sales. Ensure physical and system accuracy is maintained. Develops goals and objectives for the 3PL suppliers & Logistics team and strives to ensure attainment. Develops annual budget plans, drives productivity, quality and employee safety.

Ensure physical and system accuracy is maintained and current. Oversee the receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping activities ensuring timely and accurate response.

Design and direct in the proper and efficient processing, handling, and stocking of inventories.

Undertake regular 3PL performance reviews to review performance of 3PL suppliers & report on these reviews

Negotiate supply agreements with 3PL suppliers

Maintain strong & effective working relationship with the Government custom bonded department & officials. Ensuring the smooth flow of products through these regulated processes. Ensure IVGN & 3PL comply with all Government custom bonded requirements in a low key & trouble free manner. Comply with all Government requirements maintaining strict adherence to the IVGN Integrity Protocol.

Create, review, and maintain operating policies pertaining to the importing and exporting of inventories in conjunction with Indian government regulations.

Manage the order fulfillment process in conjunction with Customer Service from order print through end-user delivery.

Liaise with 3PL supplier to promote good operational health and safety standard operating procedures. Ensures distribution operations are ISO 9001 compliant.

Interface with packaging service providers. Negotiate supply agreements with Packaging suppliers

Develop and prepare periodic reports on operational activity, cost and efficiency.

Work with internal and external personnel to develop cost-effective order shipment protection.

Develop and implement operating plans, budgets, schedules and performance requirements. Create and implement analyzing tools to monitor performance.

May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Experience:

Proven ability to work successfully with 3PL suppliers. In depth knowledge of importation regulations & regulations pertaining to transport of perishable, custom bonded & Dangerous goods aroundIndia . In depth knowledge of warehousing perishable products, custom bonded products & Dangerous goods. Proven ability to work effectively with Government custom bonded agency. Demonstrated success in developing operating plans and budgets is required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate processes, timelines and schedules clearly. Excellent problem solving and planning skills required. An awareness and appreciation of different cultures required. Working knowledge of business computer applications required (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and email) and logistics related databases preferred. Excellent command written & spoken English
