Educational / Technical qualification and experience required.:
a) SSLC or its equivalent b) Registration in Pharmacist Register. c) Diploma in Pharmacy or certificate obtained after having undergone Compounder training in a recognized Institution.

Methodology of recruitment: 50% of marks in SSLC or its equivalent. 50% of marks in Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy.

2. Applicants are instructed to read carefully the information and Instructions issued in this regard before filling up of the application.

3. Candidates from other States / Union Terrotories are not eligible to apply for the post.

4. The applicant should necessarily submit the attested copies of the following testimonials alongwith the application :-
(a). Birth certificate / Transfer Certificate or Board / University Certificate indicating Date of Birth for age proof.
(b). S.S.L.C./Matriculation/Higher Secondary or its equivalent Mark Sheets.
(c). Necessary Degree/Diploma Certificate with all Marks Sheets (year-wise / semester-wise) including attempts made, if any.
(d). The prescribed educational qualification and technical qualification acquired through regular course should have been completed prior to the last date for receipt of duly filled in application.
(e). Applicants who have acquired the Diploma / Degree under open University Stream are not eligible for Direct Recruitment.
(f). i. Permanent Registration Certificate for Midwifery from any State Nursing & Midwifery Council in India, (Note : In the event of selection to the post, offer of appointment will be given only on production of permanent Registration Certificates). ii. Registration as Pharmacist (Allopathy) in Puducherry Pharmacy Council alone will be accepted, duly renewed as on date. iii. Prescribed no. of years Experience Certificate related to concerned post.
(g). Residence / Nativity Certificate : The candidates who are natives of the Union Territory of Puducherry and residents by continuous residence in the Union Territory of Puducherry for the last 5 years immediately preceding the date of notification are only eligible to apply for the posts. (Note : Certificate issued on or after 01/01/2013 or duly valid Permanent Integrated Certificate” (PIC) already issued by the Competent Authority
(h). Most Backward Class / Scheduled Caste / Other Backward Class / Backward Class Muslim / Extreme Backward Class / Backward Tribes Certificate for employment purpose obtained from the Competent Authority of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Puducherry/Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam not below the rank of Executive Magistrate / Tahsildar / Deputy Tahsildar as the case may be issued on or after 01/01/2013 or “duly valid Permanent Integrated Certificate (PIC) already issued by the Competent Authority”.
(i). Certificate for employment purpose obtained from the Competent Authority of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Puducherry/Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam in the prescribed form alone will be accepted. Old and combined certificates will not be accepted.
(j). If migrant certificates are submitted in respect of MBC / SC / OBC / BCM / EBC / BT, their applications will be considered against Un-reserved category.
(k). Candidates who have to apply against the horizontal reservation provided for Ex-servicemen, Meritorious Sports person and Differently Abled Person (PH), should necessarily submit the relevant certificates issued by the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry, Office of the Deputy Director (Sports and Youth Services), Education Department, Puducherry and Department of Health & Family Welfare Services / Medical Authorities, Puducherry respectively alongwith related records in the prescribed format only. Certificates received from any other authority will not be accepted. Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married should submit a certificate from the Revenue Department to the effect that they should not get marriage at the time of joining the post if they are selected.
(l). Employment Exchange Identity Card duly renewed as on date, bearing NCO code Nos. for the qualifications acquired by the candidate.
(m). Original Educational / Technical Mark Sheets / Certificates etc should not be attached with the application

4. The applications which are not in complete shape, or without signatures both in application and checklist and without enclosing the requisite certificates / mark sheets etc. as indicated above, will be summarily rejected and further correspondence will not be entertained for any reasons therefor. The candidate shall ensure himself / herself that all the requisite attested copies of certificates are attached alongwith his / her application within the due date for submission and the Department will not be responsible for any lapse in this regard. No intimation will be given for receipt of late application and also the result of recruitment would not be intimated on any account to the non-selected candidates. Only the selected candidates will be issued offer of appointment. No correspondence or interim enquires from the candidates will be entertained in this regard. Selection list will be display in the Notice Board of this Directorate and office website http://health.puducherry.gov.in.

5. The applications received after the prescribed date and time i.e., received after 21/06/2013 at 05:45 p.m. will not be considered. Application, which is incorrect / ineligible, incomplete or wrongly filled in will also not be considered and such application will not be returned to the candidates.

6. The candidates who have already applied in response to the notification dated 12.08.2005 and 24.08.2007 should also be applied now since the system of recruitment has been changed. CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ALREADY APPLIED TO THE POSTS OF PHYSIOTHERAPIST, PLUMBER, RADIOGRAPHER, REFRIGERATION MECHANIC AND SENIOR LAB. TECHNICIAN. PURSUANT TO THE EARLIER NOTIFICATION DATED 12.08.2005 AND 24.08.2007 SHOULD ALSO APPLY AGAIN NOW. CANDIDATES WITHIN THEIR PRESCRIBED AGE LIMIT AS ON 15.09.2005 AND 21.09.2007 RESPECTIVELY ALONE WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION IF THEY ARE FOUND ELIGIBLE IN ALL OTHER ASPECTS ON THAT LAST DATE FOR SUBMITTING FILLED IN APPLICATIONS. SELECTED CANDIDATES OUT OF THESE SECTION, NOW AGE BARRED, WILL BE CONSIDER FOR AGE RELAXATION SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF THE COMPETENT AUTHORITY.

7. Government servants working in the State/Central Government /Autonomous Bodies and Public Sector Undertakings should submit their application through proper channel only within the due date i.e., on or before 21/06/2013. Advance copy should not be sent and it will not be considered.

8. Change of address, if any, after submission of application should be intimated to the Department or otherwise the Department will not be responsible for any postal delay / non delivery of letters etc.

9. Candidates should submit only one application for any one of the post at a time. If the candidate desires to apply for more than one post, separate application for each post alongwith requisite attested copies of Certificates / Mark sheets etc should be submitted. COMMON APPLICATION FOR TWO OR MORE POSTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

10. The Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services, Puducherry reserves the right to enhance / reduce the number of vacancies and also to cancel the recruitment process, if necessity arises. The decision of the Government shall be the final regarding the eligibility of candidates or otherwise.
