Job Description:
Principal Accountability: (Please write all the major jobs that the employee is required to carry out ) 1 Process Engineering Work
• Study of process from improvement (hardware / operation / solvents / inputs / yield, etc.) point of view
• Study the chemistry of the process.
• Do the material balance and energy balance of the process.
• Study the literature related to chemical engineering – new technologies • Study the literature related to chemistry – patents / MSDS of various chemicals / solvent data, etc
• Continuously update the self on new developments / new technologies , etc
• Conduct lab trails to check the applicability of various new thoughts / literature / information / instructions.
• Collect the effluent data for the existing products and also the information about current way of handling the effluent
• Suggest a better way of handling effluents by literature search of by taking lab trials
• Provide the guidelines to production persons to carry out plant implementation.
• Keep track of PERL suggestion regarding their impact on various plant implementations
• Get samples from the solvent recovery experts, get them analyzed and arrange for user trials in lab.
• Support to PE Lab to carry out validations / analysis.
• Responsible for all equipments used in the lab are calibrated, validated, clean and in good condition for use.
• Responsible for implementation and maintaining GLP
• Collect data on yields of all plant implementation trials. Investigate and report any deviations. Initiate corrective actions.
Documentation
• Responsible for all documents / records are maintained properly. Ensure old records are archived properly and are retrievable.
• Prepare reports on various lab experiments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly report for status of activities undertaken, progress & issues and action plan.
• Prepare trend analysis of various tests, trials & experiments in order to arrive at logical conclusions
