National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Mangement would work as Sector Promotion Organization /Business Promotion Organization of the food processing sector. Major objectives of NIFTEM are given as: i. Working as a -One Stop Solution Provider to all the problems of the sector. ii. Working for -Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Development for the sector. iii. Facilitating business incubation services with its ultra modern pilot plant for processing of fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat and grain processing. iv. Conducting Frontier Area Research for development of the Sector. v. Developing world class managerial talent with advanced knowhow in food science and technology. vi. Providing intellectual backing for regulations which will govern food safety and quality and at the same time foster innovation. vii. Functioning as a knowledge repository on various aspects of food processing such as product information, production and processing technology, market trends, safety and quality standards, management practices among others. viii. Working for up gradation of SME food processing clusters ix. Promoting cooperation and networking among existing institutions within India and as well as with international bodies.The focus areas of the Institute include- Research, Education, Extension and outreach, Technology & Enterprise incubation, Skill Development and Consultancy services.

Pay: 20,000/- Consolidated

Method of Recruitment: Direct Recruitment on contractual basis


Qualification & Experience and Age:
Qualification: (i)12th + Diploma in Pharmacy from govt. recognized Institution with at least 2 years of experience OR B. Pharmacy (ii)Must be registered with any state Pharmacy council.
Upper Age Limit: 35
Contract Period: 2 years

Additional Information:
1. Permanent faculty positions are open to Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and overseas citizens of India (OCI). Appointment of foreign nationals for fixed period on contract basis is permissible.
2. Political and security clearance from Ministries of External Affairs and Home Affairs is necessary in every case for individuals with foreign passports.
3. Reservation is applicable as per Government of India rules. Necessary certificates must be enclosed with the application form.
4. Candidates employed in Government and Semi-Government Organizations, Public Undertakings, University and Educational Institutions must apply through their present employers. 6. The Institute has the right to set different as well as higher norms, while short listing, taking into the requirements of the departments. Mere fulfillment of qualification requirements does not entitle candidate to be called for interview.
7. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not fill any or all the posts advertised.
8. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and other academic achievements.
9. The invitation to candidate for interview merely indicates that it is felt that he/she with others may be suitable for the post and conveys no assurance whatsoever that he/she will be recommended or selected or his/her conditions specified in the application will be accepted.
10. The Institute reserves the right to screen and call only such candidates as are found Prima facie suitable for being considered by the Selection Committee. Thus, just fulfilling the prescribed conditions would not entitle one to be called for interview.
11. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding reason for not being called for interview / outcome of interview.
12. The Institute may consider candidates whose area of specialization lie outside those stated herein, provided these persons have an outstanding record.
13. The candidate is responsible for the correctness of the information provided in the application.
14. If it is found at a later date that any information given in the application is incorrect / false the candidature / appointment is liable to be cancelled / terminated.
