National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an ‘Institute of National Importance’. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.
Applications are invited for four temporary contractual positions (JRF) for a period of three years in a project titled 'Identification of Potential anti-HIV Natural Product Analogs Using Molecular Docking and Medicinal Chemistry Approaches’ (GP-387) sponsored by DBT and ICMR, GOI under Dr. Inder Pal Singh and Prof. K. K. Bhutani.

Age Limit: 35 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GOI rules)
Salary: Rs. 18000+HRA (15%) for post graduate degree in professional courses/ Rs. 16000+HRA (15%) for post graduate degree in basic sciences.
EQ: M.Sc. Organic Chemistry/ (M.S. Pharm. Natural Products or Medicinal Chemistry) /M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical chemistry / pharmacognosy). The candidate should have qualified GATE/GPAT/NET (UGC-CSIR/DBT/ICMR). Desirable: Experience in synthesis of complex natural products and analogs, molecular modelling and medicinal chemistry.
