R. C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RCPIPER), Shirpur was established under the aegis of SES in 1992. RCPIPER is the first Pharmacy Institute of the country to get NAAC accreditation. It has been re-accredited by NBA, New Delhi and is approved by PCI / AICTE, New Delhi.

In the post genomics era. the process of drug discovery has undergone vast changes. In response to the revolutions in the drug research. Pharma teachers need to get acquainted with the modem paradigms of drugs research. Irrespective of the subjects taught, the faculty members involved in the Pharma education must familiarize themselves with the advances in the field of molecular biology, biotechnology and bioinformatics. The present FDP aims to cater to these needs.
The objective
To enable the participants to successfully incorporate the techniques from molecular biology, biotechnology and bioinformatics in their routine teaching and research activities. We arc committed to deliver the most advanced and routinely applicable contents on these subjects through this FDP. We welcome the faculty members of all the disciplines from Pharmacy Institutes to gain the benefits of this programme.

We are inviting scientists / Professors from esteemed Government organizations and R&D departments of the Pharma companies involved in modem drug discovery. We are planning to provide hands on training on molecular biology related experiments including Polymerase Chain Reaction, online bioinformatics related resources and their applications in drug discover)', and different protocols in biotechnology.

Teachers from Pharmacy Institutes irrespective of their subject specializations can apply and get acquainted with the recent trends in drug discovery process.
