Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, popularly known as GITAM was founded in 1980 by an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and industrialists of Andhra Pradesh led by Dr. M.V.V.S.Murthi, Former Member of Parliament and popular philanthropist. Their mission was to set up a world-class technology and management institution in the picturesque city of Visakhapatnam to impart futuristic and comprehensive professional education of global standards with a high sense of discipline and social relevance in a serene and invigorating environment. The avowed objective of GITAM is to train qualified professionals to shoulder the responsibility of contributing to the development of India as a “Knowledge Society”.
Applications are invited for the position of Project Fellow, to work on a research project sanctioned by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, as below.
Post: Project Fellow
Project Title: Design and development of continuous flow packed bed reactor for the removal of dyes from the textile industry effluents
Tenure: Three years
Qualification Essential: Masters degree in life sciences with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH).
The candidates having M.Tech. Degree in Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering are also eligible to be appointed as Project Fellow in Engineering & Technology.
Desirable: Experience in Biosorption studies
Age: Below 40 years at the time of appointment
Fellowship: Rs. 14,000/- pm for initial two years and Rs. 16,000/- pm for third year.
