The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, was established on October 20,1995 by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana with the objectives 'to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non- conventional energy sources and management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields'. It was formally inaugurated on November 1, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of 15th century. Keeping in view the nature of courses offered at the university and the mandate for which it had been established the name of the university has been changed as Guru Jambheshwar university of Science & Technology.

The UGCs qualifications will be applicable for the teaching posts. The qualifications and specializations for each post and selection criteria have been hosted on University website. The prescribed application form along with a copy of qualifications may be obtained from the Deputy Registrar (Faculty) for all teaching posts (Sr.No.i lo v) and from the Assistant Registrar (Estt.) for non-teaching posts (Sr.No.i to x) on all working days or downloaded from the University website. The candidates may obtain application form by depositing Rs.600/- {Rs 150/- for SC/BC/SBC/EBC/ESM/PWD) on the University counter or Rs.650/- (Rs 200/- (or SC/BC/SBC/EBC/ESM/PWD) by post in case of teaching posts {Rs.500/- (Rs.125/- for SC/BC/SBC/EBC/ESM/PWD) or Rs.550/- (Rs. 175/- for SC/BC/SBC/EBC/ESM/PWD) in case of non-leaching posts} through demand draft in favour of the Registrar, GJUS&T, Hisar payable al Hisar. The request for sending application form under registered posts will be entertained upto 08.07.2013.

The candidates downloading the application form are required to remitthe above cost with the application form. The application form duly filled-in alongwith API based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) proforma and attested copies of certificates/testimonials and all other documents in support of API claimed by the candidate, educational qualifications and experience etc. for teaching posts should reach the office of Deputy Registrar (Faculty) and for non-teaching posts to the Assistant Registrar (Establishment) of this University latest by 18.07.2013 Incomplete applications and those not on prescnbed form or without fee and supporting documents will be summanly rejected The candidates must be eligible on Ihe last date (or submission of application form Those who have already applied in response to University Advt. No. 1/2012 for the teaching posts and non-teaching posts and advertisement No.2/2011 (for non-teaching posts only) need not apply again. However they may update their bio-data alongwith requisite supporting documents. The candidates lor Ihe post of Assistant Professor In Priming Technology and Bio & Nano Technology are required to apply afresh. The University reserves thel right to increase/decrease the number of posts or il may not fill any of the posts advertised without assigning any reason*1 Those who are in service should send application through proper channel Benefit of reservation and concession in application fee is applicable to the candidates from Haryana only. In case of large number of applications for any post a written test will be held for short listing the candidates.

1 SFS stands for Self Financing Scheme II may be clearty mentioned in Ihe application whether applied for the posts under SFS' also.
2 The terms and conditions for the posts under SFS shall be governed by the SFS Rules framed/ to be framed by the University from time to lime. Appointments against such posls will be co-terminus with the course/ scheme
3. The tenure of Ihe Director-Professor. Haryana School ol Business and Dean of Colleges will be three years or 60 years of age whichever is earlier. The tenure of Director-Professor. HSB is renewable and the posl of DOC is a non- vacation contract post.
4. Age limit: 18 to 50 years for non-teaching posts. There will be no age bar for teaching posts. The age of superannuation for the above posts will be sixty years. Website: gjust.ac.In
