The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is the country's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. In fact, the Green Revolution was born in the fields of IARI and our graduates constitute the core of the quality human resource in India's agricultural research and education.
The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of Senior Research Fellows in the following NAIP funded project purely on contractual basis. Details of the position are given below
Post: Senior Research Fellow- 1
Name of the Project: NAIP Project on “Bioprospecting of gene and allele mining for abiotic stress tolerance (Maize Component).
Emoluments (Fixed) PM: Rs. 16,000 + 30% HRA
Qualification:
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Botany/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Equivalent degree.
Desirable Qualification: Research experience in applications of molecular markers, gene expression assays, high throughput marker data generation, and bioinformatics tools in field crops.
Terms & Conditions:
Age limit: Not more than 35 years. Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC.
(i) The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for One Year, which may be extended periodically subjected to performance till the termination of the project.

(ii) The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is coterminus with the project.
(iii) The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 01-02-2012 at 10.00 AM. in the chamber of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012.
(iv) Reporting time: 9:30 AM
(v) The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, self attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and self attested copy of recent passport size photograph. The original degree of Master of Science or provisional is essentially to be brought while attending the interview, failing which candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview.
(vi) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(vii) Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
(viii) Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
(ix) The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of interview only in the format annexed along with the declaration
(x) The candidate intending to visit for interview, if any of his near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in advance in writing so as to reach Head, Division of Genetics, on or before 30-01-2013 by post/hand/genmaize@gmail.com. If such declaration is furnished on the date of interview and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
(xi) All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed in the format annexed and submit on the date of interview.
