Post: Head OTC-13000000DJ

Job Description:
*    Takes key Abbott pharma products and grows sales through OTC / Trade channel. Develops channel strategies in Traditional Trade (ie Chemists) and Modern Trade
*    Develops national distribution capabilities for Abbott by establishing trade team to service stockists and distributors
*  Tracking of secondary sales and offtakes and management of inventory and stock in pipeline
*    Responsible for the topline and brand profitability for key brands in the Abbott portfolio, specially products that are earmarked for sales through OTC channels
*   Formulation of marketing strategies with a focus on consumer marketing, shopper insights and promotions at the time of sale
*    Building strong Marketing programs to engage consumers. Execute with help of cross functional teams. Tracking and measuring the impact of the Marketing Programs.
*  Managing the creative agencies, develops consumer brand communication for OTC products
*    Developing mass media plans and strategies and tracking the effectiveness of media investment
*    Liaise with Market Research agencies to gather insights from consumers / HCPs to support Brand strategies and track Brand equity with consumers / HCPs
*    Support and drive sales – work in close partnership with sales team to ensure marketing programs are driven consistently and in a high quality manner.

Skill, Education, Experience:
*    B. Pharm / B.Sc and MBA Marketing from top tier institute.
*    Worked in marketing function for a minimum of 6 years.
*    Self starter and can drive sales through trade channels
*  Extensive experience in managing an OTC portfolio (preferably pharma or pharma related products)
*   Successful record of establishing new categories / concepts / needs among physicians or end users.
*    Proven track record for designing, implementing and tracking impact of creative marketing programs through sales force.
