Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the seven Institutes of Technology created as centres of excellence for higher training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India, the others being at Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Bombay, Guwahati and Roorkee. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared an Institution of National Importance under the "Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963" and was renamed "Indian Institute of Technology Delhi". It was then accorded the status of a deemed university with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.

Qualification: PhD. with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate discipline (Chemistry / Microbiology /Botany / Pharmacy)

1st class M.Tech. or equivalent with 2 years experience.
OR
1st class BTech. or equivalent with 5 years research experience.
Project Associate
Pay Scale: Rs.27,500-44,000/-
Qualification: PhD. in Chemistry/ Agriculture / Food Science / Pharmacy / Library Science.
OR
1st class B.Tech./M.Sc. (chemistry / Agriculture / Food Sceince / Pharmacy / Library Science) / MCA or equivalent with 02 years experience of research 1teaching.
Candiate with 05 years experience In the development of chemical processes / formulations / coatings / documentation /emulsions will be preferred.
Project Assistant
Pay Scale: Rs.27,500-44,000/-
Qualification: M.Pharma, M.Sc. in chemistry / chemical Engg. with some some experience in formulation work. OR Graduate Degree with 02 year work experience as Sr. Assistant or eguivalent post 1 scale.
