This Institute started as “Occupational Health Research Institute” (OHRI) in the year 1966 and was re-christened as “National Institute of Occupational Health” (NIOH) in 1970 presently located in the Eastern part of Ahmedabad. Two Regional Occupational Health Centers (ROHCs) were started at Bangalore in 1977 and at Kolkata in 1980.

Qualification&Experience:
Essential: M.Sc. degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or equivalent PG degree from a recognized university with good academic records and TWO years research experience in the related field.
Desirable: Experience in the field of Cytokine Assay and other techniques in molecular biology. Knowledge of computer and data analysis.’
Job Requirement:
*? Field work to collect the history and biological samples of the study subjects.
*? To carry out the experimental work in the laboratory.
*? Literature search related to the project.
*? Candidate should be able to work in community for collecting the samples.
Age Limit: 35 Years. Relaxable upto 5 years to SC / ST / OBC, and PH candidates.
The interested candidates meeting above-mentioned conditions of eligibility may appear for the walk-in-interview to be held on 04.01.2013 at 2.00 P.M. at this Institute. The candidates are to submit their detailed Bio-data along with the attested copies of educational and work experience certificates and testimonials at the time of reporting for interview. The original certificates may be submitted for verification on demand. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
