Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad is a premier R&D Institute in India. The Institute had its origin as the Central Laboratories for Scientific & Industrial Research (CLSIR), established in 1944 by the then Government of Hyderabad State. After integration of Hyderabad State with the Indian Union, the laboratory expanded with its growing activities. The main building was formally opened by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India on January 2, 1954. In 1956, the Central Laboratories came under the aegis of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi and was renamed Regional Research Laboratory, Hyderabad (RRL-H).

CSIR-IICT is conducting Walk-in-Interviews for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for PhD programme in the following areas from highly talented research oriented candidates:

Vacancy: The Vacancies shown against the Research Area are only indicative figures and actual requirement may vary at the time of interview.

Eligibility:
First class M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Chemistry (Organic/ Inorganic/ Physical/ Analytical Medicinal and Polymers); Biology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Environmental/ Genetics/ Zoology or Allied sciences with i) a valid rank in CSIR/UGCNET JRF Examination OR ii) a valid DST-INSPIRE/ ICMR Fellowship.
Note: The candidates who have passed CSIR-UGC-NET examination, under the "Lectureship category" are NOT eligible.

Application procedure:
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria may download the application form from our website iictindia.org and appear for Walk-In-Interview on 06th Sept.2013 along with i) duly filled 'in application form supported by ii) one set of attested photo copies of Certificates of educational qualification, age, experience, caste (in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates) iii) latest passport size photograph. The candidates are required to bring all the original certificates for verification.

Selection Procedure at CSIR-IICT
Selection for admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall be on the basis of Walk-In-Interview(s) to be conducted at CSIR-IICT on September 06, 2013. Please note that as per the applicable norms no TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates appearing for the interview.
