Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya was founded on March 4, 1902 by Swami Shraddhanandaji with the sole aim to revive the ancient Indian Gurukula System of education, on the bank of Ganges at a distance of about 6 km. from Hardwar and about 200 km. from Delhi. This institution was established with the objective of providing an indigenous alternative to Lord Macaulay's education policy by imparting education in the areas of vedic literature, Indian philosophy, Indian culture, modern sciences and research.It is a centrally 100% funded deemed university.

Assistant Professor (Pharmacy Discipline)
1. Essential
i. A basic degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm.).
ii. Registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments.
iii. First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
2. Desirable
i. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; and
ii. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.

Professor (Pharmacy Discipline)
1. Essential
i. A basic degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
ii. Registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactment.
iii. A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and experience of ten years in teaching, research, industry and / or profession at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade. OR
In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential :
i. First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy, and
ii. Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy and industrial / professional experience of five years at a senior level comparable to Assistant Professor/ Reader. Provided that the recognition for significant professional shall be valid only if the same is recommended unanimously by a 3-Member committee of Experts appointed by the Vice- Chancellor of the University.
2. Desirable
i. Teaching, industrial research and/ or professional experience in a reputed organization.
ii. Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/ obtained, books, and/ or technical reports.
iii. Experience of guiding the project work dissertation of post graduate or research students or supervising R&D projects in industry.
iv. Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and/ or professional activities, and
v. Capacity to undertake/ lead sponsored R & D, consultancy and related activities.

Attend interview in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office with duly filled-in downloaded application form (in 06 copies) along with original and duly attested one set of photocopies of Certificates/Degrees/ testimonials and a DD of Rs. 500/-(Rs. 100/- SC/ST/PWD) in favour of Registrar, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, payable at Haridwar as per above schedule.
Note: (i) Candidates should keep faith in Arya Samaj and Gurukula System of Education and must be vegetarian and teetotaler,
(ii) TA will be paid to SC/ST candidates only for attending interview as per norms,
(iii) Vishwavidyalaya reserves the right to alter the number of posts and not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised if the circumstances so warrant,
(iv) All disputes would be subject to District Haridwar jurisdiction.
