Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate and two Senior Research Fellow and one Junior Research Fellow in the following research projects of Dr. Sneh Lata Singla-Pareek, Staff Research Scientist, ICGEB.

Post: Junior Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, Research Associate

(A). DBT project entitled “Integrated transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and ionomics approach to understand response of rice seedlings towards salinity stress”

Junior Research Fellow (one post):
Emoluments as per DBT norms and sanctioned in the project.
Candidates having M.Sc. degree from recognized University in any discipline of Life Sciences. Experience in Plant Tissue Culture is highly desirable.

(B). DBT project entitled “Trans-gene pyramiding in rice for sustained tolerance to salinity”

Senior Research Fellow (one post):
Emoluments as per DBT norms and sanctioned in the project.
Candidates having M.Sc. degree (with minimum of 55% marks) or equivalent in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/ Molecular Biology or any other related field with minimum of two years of post M.Sc. research experience are eligible to apply. The candidate having experience in microarray data analysis will be preferred.

(C). DBT project entitled “Development of rice hybrids with improved drought and salinity stress tolerance”

Senior Research Fellow (one post):
Emoluments as per DBT norms and sanctioned in the project.,
Candidates with first class/division in M.Sc./M.Tech. degree from recognized University in any discipline of Life Sciences with at least two years of Post- M.Sc./M.Tech research experience in University or Govt. R&D Institutes. Experience in Plant Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, in vivo experiments with plants, Genetic- Transformation in plants, is desirable.

(D). DBT project entitled “Development of rice hybrids with improved drought and salinity stress tolerance”

Research Associate (one post):
Emoluments as per DBT norms and sanctioned in the project.

Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Plant Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics or any other related field with at least one year post –doctoral research experience or at least two research papers in the journals of international repute are eligible to apply. Candidate having research experience in the area of Plant Genomics and Molecular Biology will be preferred.

The positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the projects. The initial appointment will be for less than one year, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
