National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, presently located on the campus of University of Hyderabad.
The focus of NIAB is to promote translational science and capacity building in the area of Animal Biotechnology. The vision is to enhance knowledge on livestock production and health and translate the knowledge for developing a globally competitive livestock industry through innovative science and technology development. A key feature of NIAB is that it will function as an incubator for start-up companies and will also act as a national repository of biotech products and processes and promote bioentrepreneurship in the country.

Applications are invited for the posts of Project Fellows and Research Associates at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology.

Post: Project Fellows, Research Associates- 6

Project Fellows (Four)
Fellowship: Rs.16,000/- (NET-JRF/GATE) + 30% HRA p.m., Rs. 12,000/- (Others) + 30% HRA p.m.
Minimum qualification: M.Sc. or M.V.Sc. in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology. Candidates with prior Molecular Biology research experience and having NET/GATE qualification will be preferred.

Research Associates (Two)
Fellowship: Rs. 22,000-24,000/- (based on experience) + 30% HRA p.m.
Minimum qualification: M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology etc.

(Candidates with experience in Cell Culture, Molecular Biology, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS and MALDI-TOF analysis will be preferred for first position. Candidates with experience in Cancer Biology, Cell and Tissue Culture and Animal Models will be preferred for second position)

The selected candidates will be appointed purely on temporary basis, initially for a period of one year and extended after review. Number of vacancies may increase or decrease.
