The Government of West Bengal set up an expert committee on December 31, 1998, under the Chairmanship of Ashesh Prasad Mitra, Eminent Scientist to explore the necessity and scope for establishment of an Engineering / Technology University in the stste of West Bengal.
Post Graduate Entrance Examination (PGET)2013 for M.Tech/M.Pharm Courses
Eligibility: A relevant AICTE recognised Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy or in any final year of such programmes.
Application forms for CET/JEMAT/PGET will be available from Indian Bank, WBUT Branch & its affiliated colleges on and from 16th May, 2013 in all working days (between 11.00 am to 4.00 p.m.). Application Fees along with the Brochure is Rs. 300/for general and Rs. 150/for SC/ST candidates of West Bengal. Completed application forms are to be submitted to the University/its affiliated colleges along with exam fees: Rs. 400/for CET & Rs. 500/for JEMAT/PGET. SC/ST candidates will pay 50% of the Exam Fees on production of Certificates.

West Bengal University of Technology is going to conduct CET/JEMAT/PGET Entrance Examinations for the Academic session 20132014 for admission in NonAICTE courses(UG,PG), M.Tech/M.Pharm/MBA courses

How to Apply PGET:
Candidates shall have to apply in the prescribed form attached with the Brochure which is available from 16th May, 2013 to 14th June, 2013 from the Indian Bank, WBUT Branch (between 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.) and also from Affiliated colleges & institutes on all weekdays on payment of Rs.300/( Rs.150/for SC & ST candidates of West Bengal only) in cash. This form can also be downloaded from university website.
The filled-in form should be submitted along with a DD of Rs.500/( Rs.250/for SC & ST candidates of WB) drawn in favour of ' WBUT – PGET' from any nationalised bank payable at Kolkata.
Forms that have been downloaded from the website should be submitted along with a DD of Rs.800/( Rs.400/for SC & ST candidates of WB) drawn in favour of ' WBUT – PGET' from any nationalised bank payable at Kolkata.
Successful candidates have to pay Rs.300/for PI & Counseling by DD drawn in favour of ' WBUT – PGET' from any nationalised bank payable at Kolkata.
