Interview for Project Scientist, Project Associate at Centre for Aromatic Plants

Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP) was established by Government of Uttarakhand in 2003 at industrial area Selaqui, Dehradun. CAP is a complete business incubator centre for the development of the aromatic sector in Uttarakhand. It is equipped with end to end facilities and support services like survey, training, research, production of quality planting material, extension, distillation and marketing etc. The focus is to make these all facilities available to the farmers, entrepreneurs, researcher, buyers, distillers, perfumers and traders under one roof.

Walk-In-Interview will be conducted for purely project based temporary following position at Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP), Selaqui, Dehradun. Candidates have appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good experience may appear for Walk-In-Interview. Candidates appearing in interview must bring original copies (with Xerox copy) of mark sheet, certificates, testimonials, experience etc along with an Application Form (Annexure).

Project : Evaluating Cannabis Germplasm and selection of elite accessions for secondary metabolites profiles
Project Scientist-I (01 post)
Monthly Emoluments (In Rs.) : 56,000/- + HRA
Qualification : Essential : Doctoral Degree in Science with specialization in Plant Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding
Desirable : R&D experience in varietal development, preferably in aromatic crops

Lab Assistant
Monthly Emoluments (In Rs.) : 20,000/-+HRA
Qualification : Essential : B.Sc (Ag.) or B.Sc (ZBC)
Desirable : Working Knowledge in Agriculture/ Plant Science


Project : Efficient functioning of laboratories
Project Scientist-I (01 post)
Monthly Emoluments (In Rs.) : 56,000/-+HRA
Qualification : Doctoral Degree in Chemistry (Organic/ Analytical/ Industrial) / Pharmaceutical Sciences having experience in management, maintenance and application of sophisticated instruments like GC-MS/ HPLC/ ICP-MS/ LC-MS

Project Associate-I (01 post)
Monthly Emoluments (In Rs.) : 25,000/-+HRA (Without NET/GATE 31,000/-+HRA (For NET/GATE qualified candidates)
Qualification : Master’s Degree in Science / Agriculture (Specialization in Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Genetics/ Seed Technology/ Agronomy)


Terms & Conditions
1. Initially, the contract will be for the period upto 29th February, 2024 and may be extended further on the basis of the performance of the candidate & requirement and availability of funds.
2. The candidates will have to bring the original certificates at the time of interview.
3. This advertisement along with the application format is available on CAP’s website: capuk.in. The application form may be downloaded from the website and used for applying for the above posts.
4. Incomplete applications in any manner (i.e. unsigned, without furnishing requisite particulars, without the required documents/certificates without photographs, will not be entertained and is liable to be summarily rejected.
5. The Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate applications for each post.
6. The post are purely temporary and the contract can be terminated at any time.
7. No travelling allowance will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
8. The reporting time for appearing in the walk-In- Interview will be upto 10:30AM.
9. The age limit is between 21 years to 42 years as on date of Walk-In-Interview. The age relaxation for reserved categories candidates of Uttarakhand State will be given as per Uttarakhand Govt. rules.
10. No objection certificate from the employer/ university, in case he/she is in employment elsewhere.
11. The Selected candidate will have to sign an agreement.

The walk in Interview shall now held on 28 December 2023 at 11:00 AM at Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP), Selaqui, Dehradun.
