The CVSc was established in year 1948 at Nagaon as the erstwhile Assam Veterinary College. The Assam Veterinary College offered 3-year diploma course leading to Graduate in Veterinary Science (G.V.Sc). The number of students admitted in the first batch was 33. Soon after independence, with just 33 students admitted in the first batch of the three years Diploma course (G.V.Sc), the college poised for a long march to grow as a premier institute.
A walk-in-interview will be held on 26-12-2013, Thursday at 11.00 AM in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 to fill up one (1) post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for an "Biotech intervention on selected medicinal plants (MAP) of NER for their effective utilisation." The post carries a pay of Rs. 12000.00 (Rupees twelve thousand) plus HRA (15%) for the 1st two years and Rs.14,000.00 (Rupees fourteen thousand) plus HRA (15%) for the 3rd year for non NET/GATE/BET/BINC/GPAT qualified and Rs. 16000.00 (Rupees Sixreen thousand) plus HRA 15% for the 1st two year and Rs. 18000.00 (Rupees Eighteen thousand) plus HRA 15% for the 3rd year for NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified. The post is co-terminous with the project.
The candidates having minimum qualification of MVSc in any discipline or MSc in Biotechnology/Organic Chemistry or M.Pharm may attend the Walk-in-Interview. preference will be give, to candidates with experience in the related field.
The candidate shall have to produce original testimonials and submit up-to-date BIODATA with attested copies of all testimonials along with an IPO of Rs. 50.00 (Rupees Fifty) only {Rs.25.00 (Rupees Twenty five) only for SC/ ST candidates} drawn in favour of the Comptroller, AAU, Jorhat-13 at the time of interview
