Gauhati Universities Post Graduate Correspondence school started in May, 1998 with the objective of helping those who could not enroll as regular students. The PGCS aims at providing an opportunity to these students to obtain a Post Graduate degree of the Gauhati University through the mode of correspondence education. The degree from PGCS shall have the same standard and status as the regular Post Graduate degree as the syllabi for the two courses are the same.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following positions under the ‘DBT’s Twining Programme for the NE’ entitled “Nephroprotective therapeutic validation of ethnomedicinal plants of N E India against cisplatin induced chemotherapeutic toxicity’ ” in the Department of Biotechnology, Gauhati University.

Research Associate:
Qualification: M.Sc/ M.Tech/ M. Pharm. in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry with Ph.D degree (candidates likely to be awarded the Ph.D degree may also apply) having adequate working experiences in natural product chemistry with quality publications. Candidate having NET/GATE may be preferred.
Project Assistant:
Qualification: M.Sc in Biochemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry having working experiences in natural product chemistry
