11th Annual Conference of International Society for Heart Research (Indian Section) February 8-9, 2014 Organized by Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology NIPER

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute is conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and related areas not only within the country, but also to the countries in South East Asia, South Asia and Africa. NIPER is a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

We take great pleasure in informing you that the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, india is organizing 11^th Annual Conference of International Society for Heart Research (Indian Section) which will be held from February 8-9, 2014.

Despite major breakthroughs in cardiovascular drug discovery and development over the past 50 years, heart diseases and stroke remain the leading public health concern and primary causes of death today. Heart disease and stroke are becoming a worldwide pandemic as developing nations are witnessing the health burden. Although cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) is already emerging in developing countries, there exists a window of opportunity to prevent the pandemic from reaching its full potential magnitude. To tackle and discuss this problem, we would be uniting clinicians and basic scientists working in the area of CVDs to exchange ideas and new information with key opinion leaders and leading researchers in the area of CVDs. The theme of this convention will be “Changing Trends in Cardiovascular Drug Discovery and Development”. Even cutting edge technologies in cardiovascular research will be presented. There will be keynote addresses/orations and invited talks by renowned clinicians and scientists working in the area of heart diseases and stroke. There will be an opportunity for young scientists to present their research through oral and poster presentations.

Mohali (adjoining city of Chandigarh) is a great place to be in the late winter. Chandigarh is a Le Corbuiser's city beautiful near to the foothills of Shivalik range of mountains with several internationally renowned tourist spots.

Registration Detail

Registration can be made through offline or online at ishrcon2014niper.com  
Payment of registration fee can be made by demand  draft payable at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh in favor of “ISHRCON2014NIPER”. Alternately, money can also be sent  via a bank/wire transfer  (RTGS/NEFT). Delegates  who made payment  by demand draft must send their  duly  filled-in registration form along with original DD to conference secretariat on or before 25th January, 2014 by post. Also,  mention your name and contact no on the backside of the DD. Delegates who made payment via bank transfer need not send the hard copy of filled-in form.
